Black Sheep Restaurant Bar and Patio

Imagine sitting under a 200 year old oak tree while sipping a cocktail

Looking for some fine dining near Blue Ridge Georgia? After you enjoy rafting trip with Ocoee Adventure Center you will work up an appetite. A great dining option is the Black Sheep Restaurant! Find Black Sheep on Main Street in Blue Ridge with a large outdoor bar and covered patio dining. It is easy to imagine the history of this town here. While you sit underneath a 200-year-old oak tree sipping a cocktail on the patio in the shadow of the house. This casual upscale establishment is commits to southern hospitality. And it shows every time they open their doors!

Americana Menu

As a result, you will enjoy the progressive, locally sourced, chef inspired, new Americana menu. Examine the “Wine Spectator” recognized wine list, and exceptional service. This historically inspired architectural masterpiece makes the Black Sheep a favorite restaurant in Blue Ridge. The Crab Cakes are a highly recommended specialty! Also make sure to check out their Raw Bar and their seasonal menu!

Gone with the Wind

The restaurant occupies a historic building full of southern charm and history. That building is Historic Butt House, circa 1914, in downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia. The Butt house was originally built by Col. William Butt, attorney, Mayor of Blue Ridge and member of the Georgia Legislature. Margaret Mitchell, author of “Gone with the Wind,” was a friend and frequent visitor to the home. Fanny Butt, wife of Col. Butts, is said to have hosted a party to celebrate the book’s success. And all the guests dressed as characters from Gone with the Wind.

Reservations

The restaurant is open most evenings and offers an afternoon brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4. Reservations are highly recommended at any time and especially during the summer Ocoee River rafting season.
